Peacock Going Up

As something starts, so something stops and as this year begins, so artingeelong ends. This is my final post – I have been juggling too many projects and realised something had to give. I can’t sustain the time or energy to keep up the blog as well.

Thanks to all of you who expressed support and encouragement for artingeelong over the last 16 months. I sincerely appreciate it.

To keep up-to-date with the art happenings around Geelong, check out the City of Greater Geelong’s Arts Bulletin and of course, the local gallery websites.

I leave you with an image of a painting in the Geelong Gallery by Sam Leach, Peacock going up – a kind of disturbing vanitas-themed painting which reminds us that nothing lasts forever…

    1. Thanks for your kind comments Nicholas. My writing certainly needs work but hey, nothing like a blog to force one to practise. Yes, hopefully people will post stuff on the Facebook page so we can check it for what is on. All the best with your Surfcoast News website. Deirdre
