Peacock Going Up

As something starts, so something stops and as this year begins, so artingeelong ends. This is my final post – I have been juggling too many projects and realised something had to give. I can’t sustain the time or energy to keep up the blog as well.

Thanks to all of you who expressed support and encouragement for artingeelong over the last 16 months. I sincerely appreciate it.

To keep up-to-date with the art happenings around Geelong, check out the City of Greater Geelong’s Arts Bulletin and of course, the local gallery websites.

I leave you with an image of a painting in the Geelong Gallery by Sam Leach, Peacock going up – a kind of disturbing vanitas-themed painting which reminds us that nothing lasts forever…
