Janne Kearney shortlisted in Mortimore Prize for Realism

Two paintings, Pride and Audrey, by Geelong artist Janne Kearney, have been shortlisted in the portraiture section of the Mortimore Prize.  The prize is awarded for traditional and contemporary realism art. With seven categories – Portraiture, Landscape, Waterscape, Still Life, Drawing and Sculpture as well as an overall Best in Show – the Mortimore boasts prize money of $42,000 which includes $15,000 for the main award.

Mortimore prize winners will be announced next Saturday 24 September in Dubbo. After the exhibition in Dubbo, the winner and selected works will then go on tour to The Scots College Sydney, Orange, Mudgee, Byron Bay, Canberra, Murwillumbah and Bendigo.
