Calling artists for a Plastic Bag Free Torquay

Artists are invited to participate in an artistic response to the threat of plastic waste – in particular plastic bags. Organised by Up Collective, artists are being sought to create artworks or conduct workshops for the High Tide Festival and/or Nightjar Markets.

If you have an idea for a sculpture, installation, video, projection, ephemeral piece, workshop or other artistic responses, you will need to submit your proposal by Wednesday 10 August.

This will be paid work, with the possibility of involvement in ongoing projects. The Plastic Bag Free Torquay Committee will be seeking funding to help get Up Collective’s first project off the ground.

Please send a basic outline of your proposal, CV, and hourly rate to vicsurf@bigpond.com More information is available on the Plastic Bag Free Torquay website http://www.plasticbagfreetorquay.org.au/
