HeART in the CitY

Update from Danielle and Kay – 27 January 2011
Since our first installation of art in Beav’s Bar in August 2010, heART in the citY has expanded to 10 shops in Little Malop, James and Ryrie Streets who have artists displaying their work. You too could have your art installed in one of our shops as part of the heART in the citY project. heART in the citY operates on a rotating monthly basis with a view to revitalise the CBD by facilitating unique and locally crafted artistic displays in tenanted shops in the city centre. Artists must be in residence Friday afternoons for a couple of hours to meet the public to respond to questions, inquiries or purchase requests. Participating artists can display their work for a period of one month after which they will be expected to source the next artist for this location. Further opportunities for display of their work in alternative locations may be available thereafter. Current participating traders are The Dish, Coffee Circle, Wayan’s Traditional Balinese Restaurant, Born on Sunday, Inkspot Tattoo, Waxing Lounge, The Lion & the Unicorn, Salon 81, Beav’s Bar and soon YWCA. Please support these fabulous traders who are supporting Geelong and region art.
